By installing the PopChinese browser extension, creating an account, or using our services at popchinese.app, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
PopChinese provides a Chrome extension and related web services that help you learn Chinese using subtitles and learning tools on supported platforms (e.g. YouTube, Netflix). Features may include translations, definitions, pinyin, and integration with third-party tools. We may change or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practical.
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. Paid subscriptions are billed according to the plan you choose (e.g. monthly or annually). Refunds are handled in accordance with our payment provider’s (Stripe) policies and applicable law. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms or for other reasons we deem necessary.
You may not use PopChinese to violate any applicable laws, infringe others’ rights, or abuse our systems. You may not reverse-engineer, resell, or redistribute our service or content in a way that competes with or undermines PopChinese. Use of the extension on supported platforms is for personal learning; commercial or automated use may be restricted.
PopChinese is provided “as is.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We are not responsible for the accuracy of third-party content (e.g. video subtitles or platform changes). Your use of our service is at your own risk.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PopChinese and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will post the revised terms on this page and update the “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
